The Modified Leech becomes available only after all 3 Forest Leeches are collected and turned in to the Swamp Daughter NPC. It is then used for the Giant Piranha progression required to reach Desert.

How to Get the Modified Leech

This is a Swamp Daughter quest reward. The verified route is a turn-in, not a player crafting recipe.

STEP 101
Activate the 0/3 objective
Speak with the Swamp Daughter NPC so the Forest Leech collection is active.
EXPECTED RESULT
The Leech objective shows 0/3 or your current collected count.
STEP 202
Collect all 3 Leeches
Pick up the three small ground objects around the confirmed Forest search areas; do not fish for them.
EXPECTED RESULT
The active collection reaches 3/3.
STEP 303
Turn in all 3 Leeches
Return to the Swamp Daughter NPC and complete the quest hand-in.
EXPECTED RESULT
The collection state is registered and its reward becomes available.
STEP 404
Collect the Modified Leech reward
Claim the reward from the completed Swamp Daughter interaction.
EXPECTED RESULT
Modified Leech is available for the Giant Piranha trigger.
